Medical data from 281,000 participants in the UK Biobank tracked their health for 14 years during the research. The dementia development data showed 4,800 participants among the study participants over 14 years.
Signs of Brain Changes in Faster Aging
MRI scans showed that people with higher biological ages had more brain shrinkage and less grey matter, the area responsible for processing information. These brain changes are commonly seen in dementia patients.
